Extender Weekend Program

The weekends following sessions 2, 3, 5,6, and 7 can be added to extend the camp experience! Extender weekend sessions run from Saturday to Monday. Extender weekends can join camp sessions or can lengthen a session. No bus transportation is provided on Monday; campers not staying for the next session need to arrange to be picked up by 9 am on Monday. A specialized weekend program is conducted with opportunities to participate in programs not usually available during weekly sessions. Some off-site excursions are planned and can be attended by campers who have signed permission on the application to leave camp with camp staff and other campers. A weekend canteen card is provided and special menu items are included. There is a special program fee of $160 per extender weekend.

Adventure Education (High Challenge Course)

Campers who aspire to challenge themselves at a higher level, or have been through the Low Challenge Course and are ready for the next step, can sign up for the High Challenge Course. As with the Low Challenge Course, campers will have the opportunity to explore and enhance various life skills including, but not limited to: trust, communication, respect, empathy, compassion, decision-making and self-confidence. These experiences, however, are in the vertical environment, as students set personal goals, then pursue them relentlessly by climbing on our 5 station high ropes challenge course and a 35 foot, 3 sided rock climbing and rappel tower. We have challenges for any and every size appetite and ability. This is a tremendous opportunity for your son/daughter to realize potential which they may have never experienced before in their lives.

Special Notes:

All adventure programs are facilitated by instructors who are specifically and thoroughly trained in all aspects of adventure education, as well as many psychological concepts. Campers should wear sneakers and comfortable clothing which they can easily move in. All jewelry must be removed. There is a special program fee: $125 for each session.

Horse Program

Enjoy the "world of horses" as you take an active part in this ½ day in-depth program. This program is a great introduction for those who have never worked around horses, or those who want more experiences. Campers will have an in-depth knowledge of safety around horses, riding skills and stable management.  Classes include instruction in ring, mounted games and trail rides. Campers receive up to four hours of riding per week. Trail rides depend on the weather and skill level of the camper. All campers must wear long pants and closed hard-soles with a heel that is no higher than 1 INCHE and does not have platform SOLES (no sneakers). The camp will provide safety helmets, which must be worn by all campers and staff. There is a special program fee: $170.00 Per week.
